FAQ's
How does your pricing work?
Most of our items are priced at least HALF of it's original retail price and competitively with other resale services such as Ebay, Mercari and Poshmark.
All of our regular clothing (shirts, pants, skirts) are priced at a flat rate of $5 for each piece.
Dresses, jackets, hoodies and such are $8 and above.
Shoes are competitively priced by brand. Most shoes are $25 or less each.
How do you get your inventory?
We self source which means we purchase many items on our own by purchasing pallets, yard sale & estate sale clean outs as well as purchasing bulk inventory from other resale stores around the country!
We also accept donations. The profits from the sale of donated items support our mission to provide employment opportunities to our special needs community. As parents of a special needs adult, we understand the importance of creating a working environment where an adult with a cognitive impairment can be accepted without judgement, learn at their own pace, and be allowed to make mistakes without devastating results or issues.
Do you sell more than clothes?
YES! We carry everything for you and your home, inside and out!
The only items we do not resell are mattresses, car seats and stuffed furniture like couches.
Is your dressing room open?
YES! We are a small shop so we only have room for 1 dressing room. But it is large enough to push your child's stroller into. We do ask that you limit your items to 5 at a time as to not clog up the dressing room from others.
What are the benefits of thrift shopping?
There are numerous benefits to thrift shopping and buying used instead of new. When you buy used, you’re not only saving money, you’re helping to save the environment. Donating and buying used items keeps them out of the trash while preserving the resources that go into making new goods.
The Puzzle Piece also has a constantly changing selection of items for you to choose from. So you don’t have to worry about looking at the same old styles. Moreover, you can score amazing vintage pieces, designer brands and unique items you’d never find at a big box store. We could go on and on about how great thrift shopping is, but we highly recommend checking it out for yourself.
